1. New Feature: GPS Geofence for Checkpoint Scans
In May, we introduced a new feature for Checkpoint Scan known as the GPS Geofence. Using this feature you can choose to set a geofence (virtual boundary) around each checkpoint and subsequently, guards will only be able perform scans if only they are patrolling within the configured parameter area. This option is available for both NFC and Beacon checkpoints and provides assurance that the guards were physically present at the required locations.

To use this feature, refer to the notes below:
  1. Go to Routes > Locations & Checkpoints > Select Checkpoint > Click Edit.
  2. Enable toggle button for GPS Geofence.
  3. Search the location and set a clocking radius (in meters) in the textbox.
  4. GPS Geofence can also be configured in the Mobile App during the checkpoint enrollment.
  5. This setting does not apply to the operation during the Offline mode.

When GPS geofence is enabled, users can search location and set a clocking radius in the textbox provided.
